In Oct 2022, Burger King wanted to release a jingle for an upcoming product which is “Burger Rendang”. They wanted something ear-catching and upbeat that is around 60 seconds. With that jingle, the agency did a social media competition where whoever made the best video with that jingle will win Burger King coupons. This jingle was promoted for 1 month.

Approach

We decided to use the melody from the classic song “Rasa Sayang” but we changed the lyrics and named the jingle “Rasa Rendang”. We didn’t encounter any copyright strikes as Rasa Sayang is a public domain song. We included a ukelele and an upbeat song with catchy lyrics with the already existing melody.

Had the pleasure to work with Reka Sounds for Burger King's Limited Time Offer Rendang Burger Campaign. We created a jingle to drive excitement on the burger. Reka Sounds really brought our vision to life, giving us a few samples (all were really great so it made selection rather challenging!) It was easy to work with them too as they managed our feedback very well and made changes as we went. 

As the talent, they were very patient and gave good guidance to really bring the jingle to it's full potential. I would highly recommend Reka Sounds as they understood the brief perfectly, with brilliant creativity and good work ethics
